At Blu Bathworks, sustainable product design is about doing the right thing for our planet and that includes choosing the highest quality materials that support an eco-friendly lifestyle.
blu·stone™
A passion for sustainability motivated the brands designer + founder, to develop Blu’s signature eco-friendly, solid surface, blu·stone™ material. In addition to its low-energy production process and recyclable nature, blu·stone™ provides superior water temperature retention, requiring less water consumption for an optimum bathing experience.
blu·stone™ requires less energy to produce than its ceramic counterpart fired in a kiln at lower temperatures for a significantly shorter timeframe. Further, as a recyclable material, there is limited production wastage sent to the landfill.
Furniture
Our Italian-crafted furniture collections are another example of Blu Bathworks’ sustainable design and production philosophy. All furniture is created with Idroleb ecological panels, containing the lowest formaldehyde emissions in the world. Furthermore, we have designed our vanities to coordinate with our eco-friendly blu·stone™ vanity tops, maintainting a minimal carbon footprint.
INOX
stainless steel
The use of a raw material such as stainless steel AISI 304 and AISI316L guarantee the respect of the environment in which we all live in. Stainless steel is AB1953 compliant meaning it contains no lead, is environmentally friendly, and is a healthier option.
Further, it is exceptionally durable, resistant to corrosion and is 100% recyclable, causing limited impact on our environment.
water conservation
At Blu we believe water conservation and the reduction of unnecessary water usage is important. That is why our Italian-made tapware & shower systems are designed to comply with CalGreen standards and minimize energy and water consumption without impairing the premium quality of the product or water experience.
Available in a selection of our hand showers & rain showers is the innovative EcoAir water conserving system. EcoAir provides an incredible 50% water savings by mixing water with external air particles, simultaneously resulting in a comfortable water jet, decreasing daily consumption while performing better even at the lowest water pressure!
